To new scholars and families, welcome to Campbell, and to returning families, welcome back! This promises to be an exciting year, and as always, there’s already lots going on at the Castle. Read on to learn more!

🎓 First PTA Meeting 🍕
Our first PTA Meeting will be on Wednesday, September 3rd at 5:30-6:30pm!
As usual, it will be at Campbell (Room 209), pizza will be provided, and kids are welcome. We’ll be discussing what we have planned for the year. It’s a great way to get involved and meet other Blue Dragon families. We hope to see you there!

🥨 Snack Shack 🍬
It’s almost time for the first Snack Shack of the year! Of course, Snack Shack is our Friday after-school market for snacks and drinks, where everything costs $1 or less, and the funds go to our PTA.
This year we’ll start when school ends on Friday, August 29th! Kids can bring money that day in a sealable bag with their name on it.
We need volunteers and donations to make Snack Shack run! If you’re interested in selling the snacks, you can sign up here through the rest the year (and register as a volunteer, see below).
And if you want to donate goods to be sold, you can sign up here. Thank you in advance for your support, we can’t run Snack Shack without you!
🏫 AISD Volunteer Process 💙
The PTA runs on help from volunteers—we couldn’t do it without our community! And AISD has a process for volunteers to register and be cleared to help out at school events.
If you want to volunteer at a PTA-organized event, or any event at Campbell, please register here first! You just need to create an account and complete the volunteer requirements, it should take 10 minutes or less.
It may take a few days to get cleared. When you get a confirmation email please forward it to us at volunteer@bluedragonpta.org! (If you’re not seeing this confirmation email, please check your spam folder.)
🍳 Grandparents’ Breakfast 🥞
Grandparents are invited to Campbell for breakfast! This event is always a big hit, and this year it will be Friday, September 5th at 7am!
Grandparents can join their scholars in the cafeteria. Bring cash to purchase a breakfast, $3.50 each.
📓 Back to School Night ⭐️
Back to School night is coming up on Thursday, September 11th, 6-7pm! At this event you can hear from Principal Moore and your scholar’s teachers about what they have planned for the year. It’s a great time, come out and bring the kids!
Ⓜ️ M-Station After-School Program 🚉
Need after-school care for your scholar? The M-Station Learning Center has spots open in their free after-school program!
This is located by the M Station apartments, at 2918 E MLK Jr. Blvd. Scholars can take an AISD bus there directly after school, and the program runs 3:00-6:00 pm every day that school is in session.
